PHYTEC Open board-AM335x are equipped with all mechanical and electrical components necessary for the rapid start-up of the phyCORE-AM335x SOM. The Open board-AM335x is designed for evaluation, testing and prototyping of the phyCOREAM335x in development environments prior to use in customer designed applications.The Open board-AM335x provides a flexible development platform enabling quick and easy start-up and programming of the phyCORE SOM. The Open Board design allows connecting additional expansion boards to assist with prototyping and software evaluation.

The Texas Instruments' AM335x family of microprocessors delivers up to 720 MHz high-performance, ultra-low power, and a highly integrated peripheral set. Featuring a SitaraTM ARM CortexTM-A8 CPU, the AM335x highlights PowerVR™ SGX530 for 2D and 3D graphics acceleration as well as PRU/ICSS supporting real-time protocol standards such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS, Ethernet PowerlinkTM, and Sercos.
